The Maine drummer Pat Kirch married his longtime partner Shacara Nemetz at the start of 2020. Kirch and Nemetz announced their engagement in April 2019 and followed up the news in September by revealing they’re expecting their first child together.
In early February, Kirch announced he’d be sitting out the band’s Europe and U.K. tour with his longtime friend and Katastro drummer Andrew Stravers filling in as he awaits the baby’s arrival. Now, the couple has announced their first child was born at the end of February on Leap Day.

Kirch and Nemetz announced their engagement back in April with Kirch writing, “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her. I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time. She make[s] all of the good times and the bad times better. I’ve never been more certain of anything in my life and when you know you know. Everything just feels right. Life won’t always be perfect but I’ll always be there you forever.”
As mentioned, in September, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together.
“I’ve never been more excited to meet someone,”Kirch wrote on Instagram along with the most adorable photos. “She joins the Kirch family in 2020 #DadandUncle // Can’t wait to see @shacara_nemetz be the best Mom around.”

Kirch shared two images with simple but wholesome captions including “ Together forever” and “The Bride. ”
