The coronavirus is having a massive impact on the entertainment industry, and as the pandemic continues to grow, more events are either canceling or postponing.

With every industry from music, film, sports and more being affected by the spread of the virus, we’re keeping track of which events are being called off. Check back for more updates as they become available.

Green Day

Original date: March 8-27
New date: TBA
Green Day announced at the end of February that they would be postponing their shows in Asia. No new dates have been announced as of yet.

Avril Lavigne

Original date: April 20-May 24
New date: TBA
Avril Lavigne announced she and her team had to postpone tour dates in Asia as the virus continues to spread. Newly announced dates have not been made available as of yet.

Marilyn Manson

Original date: March 18
New date: Canceled
Marilyn Manson canceled his show in Hong Kong, with refunds being offered to all ticket holders. A rescheduled date is not expected from the shock rocker.

BTS

Original date: April 11-19
New date: Canceled
K-pop group BTS canceled their tour in their home country, with multiple dates being called off. With over 200,000 attendees expected, they had no choice but to cancel to avoid putting so many at risk.

Set It Off

Original date: March 12-18, March 29
New date: Canceled
Set It Off canceled their headlining shows in Asia along with their dates in the region supporting Jimmy Eat World. The shows are canceled, but they hope to return to Asia as soon as possible. The band also revealed they won’t be playing in Milan while they’re in Europe this month.

Disney’s Mulan live-action release


Original date: March 27

Disney‘s Mulan remake is being postponed for release in China after the closure of nearly 70,000 theaters. The story and cast were particularly chosen to cater to a Chinese audience with more historical accuracy and an all-Asian cast, while Disney president of production Sean Bailey says he’s “looking at it day by day.”

Ultra Music Festival

Miami’s Ultra Music Festival isn’t being canceled necessarily but rather postponed for an entire year. It was initially being postponed for a shorter time frame before they called the event off for a whole year.

SXSW

Original date: March 13-22

Ozzy Osbourne canceled his appearance at South By Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas along with Nine Inch NailsTrent Reznor, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and more. Numerous other artists and guests canceled their appearances at the festival prior to the event being called off entirely.

Coachella

Original date: April 10-12, April 17-19
New date: Oct. 9-11, Oct. 16-18
Following a petition from local residents and ticket holders, plus speculation from insiders, Coachella officially postponed their event for six months. The festival will now run in October with the same lineup initially announced.

YUNGBLUD

Original date: March 14-22
New date: Canceled
YUNGBLUD canceled his Asia tour due to travel risks. Asian shows that were set to take place in Hong Kong, Japan, The Philippines South Korea and Singapore were called off with refunds available.

Slipknot

Slipknot postponed a series of Asian tour dates, including Knotfest Japan. They expect to reschedule the dates eventually, though.

Papa Roach

Papa Roach canceled shows in Paris, Tilburg, Dusseldorf, Hamburg and Copenhagen due to local government restrictions on public gatherings. New dates are expected to be rescheduled, but nothing concrete has been announced as of yet.

Bret Michaels

Original date: March 13-14
New date: Canceled
Poison frontman Bret Michaels canceled his appearance on the ’80s Cruise. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) advised anyone with compromised immune systems to avoid cruise ships.

E3

Original date: June 9-11
New date: Canceled
Long-running video game conference E3 has been canceled with growing concerns about the virus. The Los Angeles event will not be happening this year, and full refunds are available.

NBA

Original date: March – June
New date: TBA
The NBA has temporarily suspended their season after Utah Jazz player Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus. Gobert was seen touching every microphone at a press conference in spite of the league’s decision to ban media from locker rooms over growing concerns about the virus. A decision about how the league will proceed has not been made as of yet beyond suspending all games until further notice.

NCAA Events

The NCAA is known for its massive basketball tournament known as March Madness. President Mark Emmert has now limited all NCAA championship events to include only essential staff and limited family attendance.

Pearl Jam

Pearl Jam are postponing their North American tour for their new album, Gigaton, due to concerns about coronavirus. They plan to reschedule the North American shows while they are not saying quite yet what will happen to their European tour dates.

Poppy

Original date: March 12-30
New date: Canceled
Poppy‘s European tour with Lotus Eater and Vowws has been called off. Poppy expressed that she would have liked to do the shows but couldn’t with border closures.

Jeopardy! / Wheel Of Fortune

New date: TBA
Both Jeopardy! and Wheel Of Fortune will be recording shows without a live audience for the time being for a number of reasons. First, Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek is battling a cancer diagnosis, and second, the majority of the show’s live audience are elderly people who are more susceptible to coronavirus. On top of that, a number of audience members are usually traveling from elsewhere, heightening risks.

Panama International Film Festival

Original date: March 26-April 1
New date: TBA
The Panama International Film Festival has postponed this year’s events due to coronavirus. New dates are expected to be announced eventually in coordination with local health authorities.

Cleveland International Film Festival

Original date: March 25-April 5
New date: April 7-18, 2021
The Cleveland International Film Festival is canceled entirely due to the spread of the virus. The 44th annual edition of the event marks the first time it has ever been canceled.

Lacuna Coil

Original date: April 13-28
New date: Canceled
Lacuna Coil are canceling an extensive Asian tour. The Italian metal band are living in a country with a massive outbreak of coronavirus cases and are offering refunds for ticket holders.

Kiss

Original date: April 12-14
New date: 10/04 Tulsa, OK; 10/06 Biloxi, MS; 10/07 Lafayette, LA
Earlier this week, Kiss put a stop to meet-and-greet events for the time being with concerns over the virus. On March 12, they announced their final three spring U.S. dates in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Lafayette, Louisiana and Biloxi, Mississippi will be moved to October. The fall leg of the tour will continue as planned.

Bikini Kill

Bikini Kill are rescheduling select North American tour dates due to the lack of information available and quick spreading of the virus in Seattle and surrounding areas. They’re planning to reschedule dates and offer refunds.

Bans Off My Body

The Bans Off My Body in support of Planned Parenthood is postponed. It would have featured members of Hole as well as other musicians. The New York event is expected to reschedule, with originally purchased tickets being honored.

Emerald City Comic Con

Original date: March 12-15
New date: TBA
Emerald City Comic Con is being postponed in 2020 after consultation with local government officials. The Seattle event, which included an appearance by Max Bemis, is following the guidelines laid out by the city but plans to reannounce a new date for the summer.

RuPaul’s DragCon

Original date: May 1-3
New date: Canceled
RuPaul has canned Los Angeles’ DragCon event this year over uncertainty regarding coronavirus. The event is expected to make a return in 2021.

James Bond: No Time To Die

Original date: April 12
New date: Nov. 12, Nov. 25
The new James Bond film No Time To Die is being postponed for theatrical release to prevent crowds from congregating in theaters. The companies that made it have already set a tentative date for it to come out later this year, though.

Disney’s The Falcon And The Winter Soldier

Disney+ series The Falcon And The Winter Soldier had to shut down production in Prague after the local government placed restrictions on schools, events and travel. The team is expected to return to Atlanta to continue filming with no word on whether they will return to Prague.

Miley Cyrus/Lil Nas X

An Australian benefit concert for the wildfire relief effort led by Miley Cyrus along with Lil Nas X and the Veronicas is being canceled. Cyrus says in a message that due to recommendations from local and international health organizations, she doesn’t want to risk her or her team’s health.

Late Night shows

“The safety of our guests and employees is our top priority. As a precautionary measure, starting Monday, March 16, we have decided to suspend live audiences for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers. Per guidance from New York City officials, the company is hoping to do its part to help to decrease the rate of transmission in our communities. Our shows will continue filming on their regular schedule, and currently, there will be no impact on air dates.” –NBC

Following one leaked statement addressing the postponement and another negating it, My Chemical Romance officially confirmed the cancelation of their two Japan shows in Osaka and Tokyo.

Survivor

Due to the growing short-term uncertainty surrounding the global spread of COVID-19 and the corresponding desire for the continued well-being of our amazing crew, we have decided to push back our start date for Survivor season 41. Though Fiji has no reported cases and is beautifully remote, our crew numbers over 400 and are flying in from over 20 different countries, creating a need for more time to fully analyze and create our new production safety plan. 

This situation is unprecedented and we are learning more information every day.  It is out of concern for the well-being of all of you that we have taken this step. Our intention is to begin production after the S40 live show. Therefore, subject to new information, our new planned start date for production would be on or about May 19th, 2020. Our intention is to still to shoot both seasons 41 and 42.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the cast and crew of Survivor received a letter from Executive Producer Jeff Probst informing them of the decision to push the production back until at least May. Originally, season 41 was set to air in September. That will most likely be delayed as well.

Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

A Nickelodeon spokesperson told Variety that the originally scheduled Kids’ Choice Awards held in Los Angeles is being postponed until further notice “in consideration of the safety and well-being of every person involved with the show.” Information regarding a new date is still pending.

Riverdale

After a crew member for Riverdale allegedly came into contact with someone testing positive for coronavirus, Warner Bros. proceeded to halt production of the hit CW show until further notice. “The health and safety of our employees, casts and crews is always our top priority,” A WB representative says. We have and will continue to take precautions to protect everyone who works on our productions around the world. Out of an abundance of caution, production on Riverdale is currently suspended.”

CinemaCon

It is with great regret we are announcing the cancellation of CinemaCon 2020.  Each spring, motion picture exhibitors, distributors and industry partners from around the world meet in Las Vegas to share information and celebrate the moviegoing experience. This year, due to the travel ban from the European Union, the unique travel difficulties in many other areas of the world and other challenges presented by the Coronavirus pandemic, a significant portion of the worldwide motion picture community is not able to attend CinemaCon.

While local outbreaks vary widely in severity, the global circumstances make it impossible for us to mount the show that our attendees have come to expect. After consultation with our attendees, trade show exhibitors, sponsors, and studio presenters, NATO has decided therefore to cancel CinemaCon 2020.

The National Association Of Theatre Owners’ John Fithian and Mitch Neuhauser issued a statement outright canceling the event after rumors began to spread that production companies did not want to show up but did not want to be the first to pull out.

Madball released an official statement postponing their European Rebellion tour with Knocked Loose and Harm’s Way due to the fact that venues are being forced to shutdown in wake of the coronavirus.

A Quiet Place Part II

Writer/director John Krasinski issued a statement on his Twitter saying that the movie is best watched all together, and in light of recent circumstances, he’s delaying the release of A Quiet Place Part II.

The official Fast And The Furious Twitter account issued a statement delaying the release of the newest film, F9, by nearly an entire year to protect the safety of cast and crew members.

Treefort Music Fest

In a recent statement, Boise, Idaho, staple Treefort Music Fest has been postponed. The annual festival was set to feature Andrew W.K., Princess Nokia, Pussy Riot, Titus Andronicus and more.

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony

The annual Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony that takes place in Cleveland, Ohio was postponed. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame President Joel Peresman says they are looking to reschedule at a later date.

Houston Livestock Show And Rodeo

The Houston Rodeo was set to feature performances by Lizzo and Gwen Stefani but is now closed by order of the City of Houston and the Houston Health Department.

Live Nation and AEG spring tours

Following the news that Live Nation will be pausing tours, fellow concert promoter AEG will also halt tours in the U.S. and internationally. The two companies joined Creative Artists Agency (CAA), William Morris Endeavor (WME), Paradigm, and United Talent Agency (UTA) in addressing the current decision, according to Rolling Stone.

“The world’s leading forces in live entertainment have come together to form a global task force to drive strategic support and unified direction ensuring precautionary efforts and ongoing protocol are in the best interest of artists, fans, staff, and the global community,” the joint statement reads. “At this time, we collectively recommend large scale events through the end of March be postponed. We continue to support that small-scale events follow guidance set by their local government officials. We feel fortunate to have the flexibility to reschedule concerts, festivals, and live events as needed, and look forward to connecting fans with all their favorite artists and live entertainment soon.”

Circa Survive

The Blue Sky Noise 10 Year Anniversary tour was set to start the first leg with support from Polyphia and Gouge Away. The second leg of the tour is still tentatively set to begin in May.

Dance Gavin Dance

Dance Gavin Dance were set to kick off their spring tour with Animals As Leaders, Issues, Veil Of Maya and Royal Coda in Los Angeles with a sold out show Thursday. The band will be postponing the tour with new dates pending. The original run was set to end April 25 at their second annual Swanfest, but the band has stated they “have not made any decision” on whether or not the event will continue.

All Time Low on Good Morning America

All Time Low recently announced they would be celebrating the release of their next album Wake Up Sunshine with a Good Morning America performance. While that performance is set to continue as planned, the band will now be performing without an audience in attendance.

The JUNO Awards

Canada’s 49th annual JUNO Awards were set to take place this weekend with Palaye Royale, Avril Lavigne, City And Colour, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, The Dirty Nil, Sum 41 and more up for nominations. The event shared a statement announcing both the awards show and events throughout the week are canceled.

PUP

Original date: March 14
New date: Oct. 14
PUP hit the road for a North American headlining tour at the end of February with Screaming Females and Drew Thomson Foundation as support. The touring package was set to close out the tour this week in Sacramento March 13 and San Francisco March 14. No updates have been given regarding the Sacramento gig, but the band has shifted their San Francisco show to Oct. 14 as the Regency Ballroom is impacted by the large event ban.

Broadway shows

Gov. Andrew Cuomo banning gathering of more than 500 people in New York City and ordered all Broadway theaters to suspend operation. Shows will resume beginning April 13.

Anti-Flag

Anti-Flag were set to kick off the first North American leg of their 20/20 Vision tour Thursday with support from Grade 2 and Doll Skin, but the band has announced it will be postponed later this year. The second leg, which kicks off in May with Bad Cop/Bad Cop and Grumpster, is currently set to continue as planned.

Joan Jett

Joan Jett had two performances set for this weekend: Ivins, Utah March 13 and Laughlin, Nevada’s Rockin’ On The River March 14, but the rock icon has canceled both.

Andrew W.K. and Mayday Parade

Andrew W.K. was set to headline a free St. Patrick’s Day celebration in Rolla Missouri with support from Mayday Parade and The Wild & Free.

Disneyland

Original date: Beginning March 14

Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure will both suspend operation beginning Saturday through the ened of the month. The hotel properties will remain open until March 16, and cast members will still be paid.

Kvelertak

Original date: 03/13 – 04/18

Norwegian black metal rock and roll act Kvelertak postponed all shows with hopes to reschedule dates as soon as possible. The band were travelling through Europe on a headlining tour.

After The Burial

Original date: 03/10
New date: Canceled

After The Burial were forced to cancel their show in Italy as the government has declared a national emergency. No rescheduled date is expected.

Machine Head

Original date: 04/19 – 06/06
New date: TBA

Thrash metal band Machine Head are postponing their 25th-anniversary tour for Burn My Eyes in Europe. They expect to reschedule for the fall but are open to it possibly being later as well.

Chelsea Wolfe

Original date: 03/12 – 04/01
New date: Canceled

Chelsea Wolfe has canceled her European acoustic tour outright. Her and her crew could not move forward due to travel bans, venue closures and government restrictions.

Guns N’ Roses

Original date: 03/18
New date: TBA

Guns N’ Roses are postponing their appearance in Costa Rica with guidance from the government. Ticket holders will be able to attend the rescheduled date with their originally purchased seats.

Testament

Original date: 02/25, 03/11
New date: Canceled

Testament were initially forced to cancel their show in Milan, Italy due to government restrictions. They were able to perform afterwards but had the final date in Hanover on the tour canceled following travel bans.

Trivium

Original date: 03/24 – 03/27
New date: TBA

Trivium postponed their tour dates across Asia as well as press stops in Europe. They hope to reschedule all shows as soon as possible.

Billie Eilish

Original date: 03/13 – 03/28
New date: TBA

Billie Eilish postponed her March North American tour dates to avoid gathering large crowds together. Her shows past March are still currently set to happen.

Bad Religion / Alkaline Trio

Original date: 03/24 – 04/19
New date: Fall 2020

Bad Religion and Alkaline Trio are postponing their spring tour across the U.S. They’re planning on rescheduling for the fall with originally purchased tickets being honoured.

Sleep On It

Original date: 03/13 – 03/27
New date: TBA

Sleep On It are postponing the remainder of their tour dates aside from their two shows in Chicago. They held off while performing the first half of their tour but had to postpone due to venue and government restrictions.

Breathe Carolina

Original date: 03/13
New date: TBA

Breathe Carolina‘s show in Baltimore has been postponed with a future date expected. All of the band’s shows are currently up in the air but no further postponements have been made.

The Offspring

Original date: 03/12
New date: Canceled

The Offspring had to cancel their acoustic show in Argentina due to a government ban on large outdoor events and gatherings. Refunds are being offered to ticket holders.

Against Me!

Original date: 03/13 – 04/04
New date: TBA

Against Me! have been forced to postpone their March and April tour dates after trying to push forward with the shows. Their upcoming tour with Baroness is still set to happen.

The Wonder Years

Original date: 03/14 – 03/21
New date: TBA

The Wonder Years are postponing all of their tour dates while working quickly to find a new schedule for the shows. They plan to put their tour merch online and are discussing a live stream show in the near future.

Dashboard Confessional

Original date: 03/13 – 06/07
New date: June

Dashboard Confessional have postponed the remainder of their tour to June. All tickets are being honoured at the new shows with new information coming soon.

Enterprise Earth

Original date: 03/07
New date: TBA

Deathcore crew Enterprise Earth were forced to call off their show in Italy due to government restrictions. After trying to find a solution with the venue and promoter, the decision was made to postpone to a later date to be announced.

Tool

Original date: 03/12
New date: TBA

Tool had to postpone their show in Eurgene, Oregon after a state-wide restriction on public gatherings over 250 people was put in place. This comes after they had a fan attend a show in New Zealand and who tested positive for coronavirus.

Devin Townsend

Original date: 03/14 – 03/24
New date: TBA

Devin Townsend is postponing the remaining North American tour dates he has scheduled. Several crew members are from European countries and with a travel ban from the U.S. in effect, they would not be able to travel now. Several shows were also canceled by state government restrictions.

The Who

Original date: 03/16 – 04/08
New date: TBA

The Who are postponing their UK and Ireland tour dates in light of coronavirus. They’re highlighting that fans should keep their tickets as the shows will “definitely happen and it may be the last time we do a tour of this type.”
