The project was first teased on Williams’ birthday when she posted a note on her Twitter account showing some details about the new music.

She also said fans would something new in January.

“I’m putting out some music next year. With the help of some of my closest friends, I made something I’m going to call my own. It’s a really special project and you’ll get a taste of it in January. Happy New Year, friends. Hayley Williams.”

On Jan. 6 clues of Petals For Armor surfaced on Instagram and city streets with a release date for sometime this month.

The vocalist posted three mysterious black squares on Instagram overnight sparking theories that the music will soon be here.

Williams continued the trend of black boxes teasers by sharing one to her Instagram story.

Unlike the past black box teasers, that one includes a caption much like the one she posted today.

Today’s post is yet another black box teaser with the caption “nothing cuts like a mother” sparking further speculation something is coming very soon. You can see that post below.

Along with the new black box post, the Instagram page also posted screenshots from multiple movies including Bird Box and Kidnap among others. What the movies connections are to the project is unclear but the posts must mean something deeper.

At the moment the only substantial thing released has been a video posted on their website. As teasing seems to be ramping up though and January wears on, something should be arriving very soon.
