Throughout the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic, countless events are being canceled or postponed and lately, we’ve started seeing albums, movies and TV shows getting delayed too but Disney is giving a massive update to a bunch of their upcoming releases to keep fans in the loop.

The company is revealing a ton of release date changes for scheduled projects and Marvel‘s Phase 4 release timeline is getting a complete overhaul.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, their release calendar for 2020 and 2021 is going through some major shakeups with some releases moving directly to Disney+.

Artemis Fowl was set to arrive in theatres on May 29 but will be moving directly to their streaming platform instead. Traditional theatrical releases are still planned for the remainder of their movies though.

Mulan and Black Widow were two of the earliest releases delayed during the pandemic changes Disney was making. Black Widow is now moving from an early May release to November. Meanwhile, Mulan is shifting from its March release date to July 24 when Jungle Cruise was set to arrive. That movie will now be facing a domino effect being pushed back a full year to July 30, 2021.

The cascading delays are having a major effect on superhero titles as Marvel’s entire Phase 4 is being adjusted. With Black Widow‘s release date now set for November 6, Eternals is moving to February 12, 2021. That date was originally set aside for Shang-Chi which is moving to May 7, 2021.

Doctor Strange 2 is being displaced from that May 7 date to November 5, 2021. In turn, Thor: Love and Thunder is delaying to February 18, 2022. Luckily, Black Panther 2 isn’t moving its release from May 6, 2022 while Captain Marvel 2 is arriving two weeks sooner than planned for a July 8, 2022 release.

Disney’s live-action studio which created Mulan is also changing things with an upcoming untitled Indiana Jones film delaying by a full year for a July 29, 2022 release.

Some of the movies being delayed still don’t have new release dates proposed as of yet. Those include The Personal History of David Copperfield, Antlers, Woman in the Window and The New Mutants. Disney insiders tell THR all of these dates are fluid and could be changed if necessary down the line.

You can see a list of new dates for some of their projects in the tweets below.
